- Stay Polite: Everyone here is at different levels of car knowledge, so if you're giving advice or feedback, be constructive and friendly. We’re here to help each other grow!
Important Disclaimer About Car Meets:
While we’re all about connecting with fellow enthusiasts, please note that public car meets and events are not organized by Downshift Culture. Currently, the group does not have any official events, and any gatherings please be mindful and sensible if seeing others. Keep in mind that public gatherings may cause a stir if large, and can lead to Police arriving issuing anti-social behavior warnings or even section 59s, so it's important to respect local laws and avoid causing any disruptions. We strongly advise caution when meeting up with strangers in public places. Future plans are in the works to organise official events in collaboration with local authorities, but those will be strictly controlled and properly managed for everyone's safety.
Please use the 'events section' to list only organised events, such as Gravity, The Motorist, etc. Please list the date first, then the event name, followed by location, so people can scan what's happening in which month.
For Sale Section:
- No Scamming: The For Sale section is meant for members to buy and sell car parts, vehicles, and accessories. Please don’t scam others, and always ensure that your transactions are fair.
- Stay Safe from Scams: When buying or selling, be cautious. We recommend using PayPal for Goods and Services when possible to protect yourself. If you’re collecting items in person, always meet in safe, public locations. Remember, Downshift Culture is not involved in any transactions, so please be diligent in protecting yourself from scams.
